Google’s bombshell

it is pretty well understood by now that Google is in a pickle. Google’s problem is that the web is become mobile at a rapid rate. And as it makes this transition, the web is less oriented towards websites that are searchable. Too bad for Google, its search service is primarily oriented towards website retrieval. So as the mobile web and the internet of things grows, Boodle’s influence weakens.

Google knows this and has known it for a long time. The company has struggled to find a big revenue source in non-PC oriented businesses to counter this effect. And the latest may be the one that works — a way to leverage its android mobile operating system usage — which is massive but produces no revenue — by creating a way to link mobile apps.
