Remember when you might have heard that “I got my mojo workin'”? Mojo is a charm or talent. Or even more basically, self-confidence. And it is critical to feel that mojo. But these days, mojo only gets you so far.
Why? Because focusing on your own mojo will probably get in the way of building out a learning network. And as we inch forward into the 21st century, we are seeing more evidence that empowerment is about connecting in powerful networks.
Which takes me to the idea of a “PLN”. It stands for “personal learning network”. This is a network that you can dip into when you need to learn. Do you have one? Can you build one? Most of us would not give a huge “YES” to these questions.
