The Tracking Business

How much benefit do you get from what you do? It is not a question that we ask very often. And yet, our lives are filled with agendas and routines — stuff to do. Recently, efforts have been made to help us organize these activities better. But that is just the first step in a much larger trend where we more easily learn to do things and from what we do. Consider the humble task of shopping.  How do you decide what to buy? What do you do with that stuff? How well do you use it? What pleasure? What learning? What stored data? There is a lot of data flow there and new tools will make it flow more efficiently for you.Now think about the new Apple smart watch. The key to understanding its value is that to enter and extract data, you don’t need to pull anything out of your pocket.
